Leave your hotel at 9:30 a.m. then visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple where is the most important place temple in Chingmai. ( A Chiangmai landmark ). it located on the Doi Suthep Mountains 1060 meters above sea level. It is about 10 kilometers away from the old town of the city and can be seen clearly from Chiang Mai city. The seven-headed Naga staircase leading from the arch up to 306 milestone to the top of the temple. Those Naka-s wad built by Kru Ba Sirichai , the venerable monk of the Northern Thailand. They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple! At the top of the temple you can view the pagoda made in the architecture style of the Lanna Kingdom and shining with real gold and jewels. The pagoda is believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. A viewing platform also offers panoramic views of the whole Chiang Mai City where you can take in the wonderful landscape. The sound of temple bells, monks chanting and the fascinating view of Chiang Mai will fill your heart.
After that we continue to drive up hill to visit Royal Winter Palace called Phu Ping Palace. It is the royal winter residence in Chiang Mai where the Royal family stays during seasonal visits to the people in the northern part of Thailand . Here you can enjoy the Nature- Architecture and royal gardens.
After that we head to Hmong hill tribe village to experience their culture and enjoy hill tribe shopping and garden where you can get close and take a photo with Opium plants ( In winter ).
On the way back we drop by at the hidden jungle temple called Wat Phalat (A hidden temple). It must be great to spend sometimes there to enjoy the peacefulness, the beauty, Cm. city views and the nature surrounding the temple. It is a hidden gems and it is so worth to visit this one, really different to other temples with the jungle ancients. One of my most favorite temples in Ching Mai. Beyond words beautiful place and it’s worth every penny! this temple offer you Chiangmai ( or Lanna ) and Myanmar Buddhists culture. It mixed both Lanna and Myanmar architecture there. It’s really really Worth to visit !
